The good news is that MAGA conservatives immediately and unanimously denounced this. Bondi probably needs to be fired. (Trump’s personal defamation suits are irrelevant).
Thank you for this having this discussion and for publishing it! Current events seem to highlight the importance of rediscovering lost thoughts relevant to the freedom of speech in America.
2025 is the 250th anniversary of the start of the Revolutionary War (in 1775), and next year is the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. So I respectfully submit it is high time for America to have a national constitutional conversation about the freedom of speech that is worthy of the occasion and truly worthy of our freedom. Our public servants need to be made to understand their proper place and our proper place in our Constitution. We need conversation and consideration that are much more profound than we've had. So please consider the following.
There is no such thing as “hate speech.” There is speech. Some is pleasant, some isn’t and some is dreadful. It’s a good idea to defend dreadful speech as that is the spirit of the First Amendment. Anything other than threats of violence or incitement to violence is simply speech.
Under the Countries constitution is there a difference in freedom of speech as far as if you dont like what someone else says but its still freedom of speech. Am I right or wrong ?
She is wrong. And so are her political enemies when they claim the same.

I'm pretty sure I didn't hear mentioned a SCOTUS decision that is among the most relevant to opposing the retaliation against people for so-called hate speech about Charlie Kirk. See "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" https://blackcollarcrime.substack.com/p/thank-god-for-dead-soldiers?r=30ufvh

Seems like Trump and Bondi are both guilty of “hate speech.”
